Mickey Lee Chastain Rathbone
Apr 16, 2018Mrs. Rathbone enjoyed collecting antique glass and dolls, as well as buying and selling things at the flea market. She was a loving and caring lady who would cook for everybody (she wouldn’t let you turn down breakfast if you came by her home in the morning). She attended Plains United Methodist Church. She was a true country girl and was known to so many people as “Mom.” Mrs. Rathbone was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Rathbone; parents, Matthew Chastain and Gladys Pressley Cogburn; three of her sisters, and her four brothers.Survivors include her two sons, Terry Wood and his wife, Gwen, of Cleveland, Georgia, and Eugene Rathbone and his wife, Marquetta, of Canton; sister, Catherine Clontz of Canton; four grandchildren, Mandy Wood of Canton, Kristen McCall of Commerce, Georgia, Casey Stroupe of Enka-Candler, and Matt Rathbone of Canton; and five great-grandchildren.A funeral service was held Saturday, April 14 at 2 p.m. at Crawford/Ray Funeral Home Chapel in Canton. The family received visitors before the service.
